NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hildred Capital Management (“Hildred”), a healthcare-focused private equity firm that seeks opportunities to create value in middle-market companies, today announced that Ben Samit has been appointed a Managing Director at the firm.

Prior to joining Hildred, Mr. Samit was a Vice President at PennantPark Investment Advisers, where he originated, structured and managed private debt and equity investments in middle market companies with a focus on the healthcare industry. Before PennantPark, Mr. Samit worked as an investment banker at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he advised private equity and corporate clients on M&A and corporate financings, including leveraged buyouts and equity offerings.
